The Chicago Area JATC (Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee) and the DFTC (Drywall Finishing Training Committee) are dedicated to developing Apprentice trainees into skilled professional painting, decorating, and drywall finishing Journeymen for Painters' District Council No. 14 and the employer members of Chicago Council PDCA/FCA (the Painting & Decorating Contractors Association & Finishing Contractors Association) and GDCNI (the Gypsum Drywall Contractors of Northern Illinois).

The objective of both the JATC and the DFTC programs is to provide the Union Contractor employer with a qualified, highly productive, safe workforce.
