Scaffold Erector, User, Dismantler Training (Safety)
Purpose:
As per OSHA 1926 subpart L .454 (Scaffolding) training requirements:
(a) the employer shall have each employee who performs work on a scaffold trained
by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated
with the type of scaffolding being used and to understand the procedures to control
those hazards.
(b) the employer shall have each employee who is involved in erecting, disassembling,
moving, operating, repairing, maintaining or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent
person to recognize any hazards associated with the work in question.
The training covers OSHA 1926 subparts L (scaffolds).
Length of course: 1 day / 8 hours. (10 Credits)
Card Expiration: this card does not have an expiration date but re-training is recommended
a minimum of every 4 years.
NOTE:
This is a awareness course to help the worker understand OSHA's minimum safety requirements
for using, erecting or dissembling scaffolds. It is not a certification course.
