Respirator Fit Test and Training (Safety)

Purpose: Osha states in 1910.134 that the employer shall establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with work site-specific procedures, the employer shall include in the program proper selection of respirators to be used, medical evaluations of employees, fit testing and regular evaluation of the effectiveness of the program.

Course covers the OSHA requirements for the donning and doffing of respirators. Course also covers the selection, maintenance, and storage of a respirator, and a fit test and medical survey is included. A 3M half mask will be issued.

YOU MUST BE CLEAN-SHAVEN BY OSHA REGS BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING TO TAKE THE CLASS. THERE IS NO MORE SHAVING AT THE SCHOOL. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

PER OSHA THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE FACIAL HAIR IS A MUSTACHE THAT ENDS AT THE CORNERS OF YOUR MOUTH. NO EXCEPTIONS OR DEBATES - YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
