RRP - Renovation, Repair, and Painting (Safety)

There will be no on-line registration for this class. You must register by calling, Monday - Friday, 708/449-5282 x0 between the hours of 7:30am - 3:00pm. There is an exact number we must hold to each class.

The instructors will have the sign-in prior to Day 1 of the class. If you are not on that list, you will be told to leave.

This is a two-day class. Day 1 is classroom; Day 2 you will be given a 2 1/2 hour time slot for the hands-on portion of the class. Your Day 2 time-slit will be assigned to you by the instructor. You must be present both days in order to pass and get credit. If you fail either portion of this class, you will not receive certification nor STAR credit. You will be required to retake the whole course. These guidelines must be followed.

A fluent comprehension of the English language is necessary for this class.

Length of course: 2 days / 10 hours. (10 Credits)

CLASS DESCRIPTION

This course was developed by the U.S. EPA, in collabortion with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train renovation, repair, and painting contractors and workers how to work safely in housing with lead-based paint and comply with the EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, and HUD's Lead Safe Housing Rule.
