Fall Protection (Safety)
Purpose:
As per OSHA 1926 subpart M.503 (fall protection) training requirements:
(a) The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed
to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling
and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these
hazards. (2) the employer shall assure each employee has been trained as necessary by a
competent person qualified in the following areas: the nature of falls, correct procedures
for erecting, maintaining, disassembling and inspecting the fall protection systems.
The training covers OSHA 1926 subparts M (fall protection).
Length of course: 1 day / 8 hours. (10 Credits)
Card Expiration: this card does not have an expiration date but re-training is recommended
a minimum of every 4 years.
NOTE:
This is a awareness course to help the worker understand OSHA's minimum safety requirements
for fall protection. It is not a certification course.
